When the sun shines over Hamburg, the city becomes a scene of cultural diversity and lively events. From June 27th to July 6th, 2025, the residents and visitors can look forward to the Altonale Festival , which is one of the largest cultural festivals in North Germany.

The Altonale transforms Altona into a cultural center for 17 days. Here, over 2,000 artists and 180 organizations show more than 200 events that range from music and theater to art to film. Concerts, street theater, children's activities and readings - a real melting pot of creativity are offered

A special highlight is the pop night , where international and local musicians create a mood in unusual places. At the end of the festival, a large street festival with a flea market is traditionally celebrated. All of this takes place on the syringe place in Ottensen and the square of the Republic in the Altona-Altona city, conveniently accessible without HVV ticket.

The highlight of the month is the Pride Week / CSD Hamburg Festival from July 26 to August 3, which inspires the streets with a large parade on August 2. It will be a weekly festival of diversity and equality, while the vegan street festival on St. Pauli on July 26th is also available with around 50 stands that respond to vegetable delicacies and information on animal welfare.
