The tail tent starts last cultural season: a summer full of highlights!

Schanzenpark, Hamburg, Deutschland - The Schanzenszelt will open its gates for the last time in the coming summer. From June 20 to July 13, 2025, cultural enthusiasts can look forward to a varied program. The last season of one of the most famous cultural events of Hamburg offers a variety of events, including concerts, readings, acrobatics and even a children's circus. With this last edition, the Schanzenzelt says goodbye to the Hamburg cultural scene after a proud 33 years. According to Eimsbütteler Nachrichten the last season starts on June 21 with a appearance at the circus school "The Rotz Nasen", which will present their program at 5:30 p.m.

The organizers have put together a comprehensive line-up for this summer. From the live concert to the reading, both large and small cultural friends get their money's worth. Apart from the opening event on June 21, artists such as Sarah Lesch & Band, Pohlmann’s night shift and Romano will perform in the tent. The Hamburg.de confirmed that the program highlights also include an improvised play called "Hidden Shakespeare" on June 29, as well as a solo concert by Yung FSK18 on 4 July, the proceeds of which Sea rescue in the Mediterranean.

cultural diversity in the Schanzenpark

The Schanzenpark itself, which was known in the past as the largest water tower in Europe, is transformed into an open space for culture and community. In addition to the events in the tent, meadows, boules and children's playgrounds and an open-air cinema invite you to linger. It is a place where young and old come together and enjoy the last days of the Schanzentel. For the little visitors there is a special children's program in the circus tent, which will certainly provide radiant faces.

In a time when high costs threaten many cultural institutions, the closure of the Schanzenzelt is also discussed after last season. The ticket price varies depending on the event and will be set for the Soli concert on July 4 at 30 euros. For particularly committed visitors, there will also be solo tickets for 10 euros or a 20 euro donation. These additional income is intended for an important social purpose and show how tight culture and social commitment are interwoven.

The highlight of last season

The entire program of the Schanzentel is presented on the organizer's website, so that interested parties can easily see all the details and appointments. Further highlights next to the solo concert and the reading of Sarah Lorenz on July 1 are the appearance of Markus Wiebusch on July 8th and the end of the season with the last curtain on July 11th, accompanied by the reading of Max Richard Leßmann.

The culture in Hamburg experiences a painful loss with the closure of the Schanzentel, the importance of which cannot be assessed high enough for the Hamburg cultural landscape. One last time the ski clan becomes the meeting point for cultural friend: inside and a place that will be remembered. The last few days in the tent are all about community and creativity - so nothing like there!
