FC St. Pauli trains in Austria: Planned duels against Karlsruhe and Nice!

Preparations at FC St. Pauli are in full swing, as after a well-deserved vacation, the team started training on Kollaustraße on July 3rd. Relegation in the Bundesliga was successfully secured and the kickers now have a tight program ahead of them to prepare for the coming season. The second Bundesliga season starts in just under six weeks, which will be heralded with the DFB Cup on the third weekend in August, as well-known media reports.

The highlight of the summer preparation is undoubtedly the ten-day training camp in Austria, which will take place in Flachau from July 18th to 27th. During this time, St. Pauli will face some serious opponents.

Test matches in the Alpine Arena

Two test matches are planned that will cause excitement on July 20th and 26th: On Sunday, July 20th, FC St. Pauli will play against Karlsruher SC in the Alpenarena in St. Johann im Pongau at 4 p.m. The match will be played in two halves of 60 minutes each. Karlsruher SC, who finished eighth in the second division last season, will certainly present a demanding challenge.

A week later, on July 26th, the duel with the French first division team OGC Nice is on the agenda. This game will kick off at 3 p.m. at the Maximarkt Sportpark in Anif, near Salzburg. OGC Nice, which finished fourth in Ligue 1 last year and qualified for the Champions League, was also a participant in the Europa League. Coach Timo Schultz's team is expecting two top-class comparisons that could provide important insights for the upcoming season.

Tickets and further preparations

Tickets for both games are available directly from the box office, with information on ticket prices to be announced. St. Pauli also plans to supplement the training camp with further friendly matches, although the opponents and dates have yet to be determined.

Of course, in addition to the test games, training content is also on the agenda. Players are expected to report for testing and medical examinations one to two days before the start of the season. There will be a first friendly match against the regional league team GW Firrel on July 6th, followed by another match against the regional league team SV Drochtersen/Assel on July 12th.

The entire preparation promises to be exciting and is an important step towards being well in the race in the coming season. With such interesting encounters in the program, St. Pauli will have the opportunity to prepare early for the level of the upcoming league and cup games.

Through this intensive preparation period, the club hopes to have a good start to the new season and to inspire its fans with convincing performances. How FC St. Pauli will proceed and what surprises the summer will have in store remains to be seen.
