Premiere of the summer comedy Sunshine Reggae” delights Wolgast!
On June 22, 2025, the open-air stage in Wolgast experienced a brilliant premiere with the comedy “Sunshine Reggae on Usedom”. The charm of the production attracted numerous spectators from across the region, many of them repeat visitors who looked forward to the entertaining performance. In the performance, three boys, Tino, Matteo and Carl, also appeared in the girls' dance group for the first time. The choreography by Ellen Henning and the creative costumes and masks by Andreas Mücke give the piece a special shine. Director Birgit Lenz and Torsten Schemmel, who impresses with his fine sense of humor, deliver a mix of contemporary topics and entertaining depictions of society.
A feast for the senses
The performances take place every Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday until August 23rd and always promise new highlights. The audience can expect a varied program that not only addresses the fun factor, but also deeper social questions. There are positive perspectives for Wolgast culture; The First Vice Mayor and the head of the Cultural Committee expressed their optimism about the development of cultural events in the city.
Particularly pleasing is the praise from former bishop Margot Käsmann, who rated the production as “superb and simply successful”. Such feedback is worth its weight in gold for the actors and the team behind the stage.
