In the small community of Neetzow-Liepen, more precisely in the charming town of Steinmocker, a very special music event will take place in August 2024: the second edition of the Steinmocker Rock Open Air. Organized by a nine-member club, the festival promises an unforgettable weekend for rock fans from near and far. Reported about it Northern Courier.
An entertaining event is planned that will last two days. A total of 17 bands from all over Germany will perform on two stages, set up in the quiet ambience of a converted old stable and the adjacent area. "We have come together to realize this festival. It is a real community project," says a member of the organizing association, who is taking care of the preparations.
Festival highlights
Last year the festival had around 500 enthusiastic visitors who were thrilled by the different styles of rock and the family atmosphere. “The atmosphere here is something very special, you feel like you are in a big family,” said one visitor. In addition to the music performances, there will also be camping opportunities and a selection of food trucks to ensure the guests' physical well-being.
The festival is scheduled to start at 12 p.m. on Friday, August 22, and the first band, “Meven,” will take the stage at 5:30 p.m. On Saturday, August 23rd, there will be a tight program with nine bands performing every hour, followed by a DJ party to round off the festival. The line-up is promising and ranges from hardcore rock to family-friendly sounds.
