Theo and Frieda: TTSV-Anklam duo rocks comeback and medals!

On September 24, 2025, an exciting state ranking tournament in the youth 15 age group took place in Rostock, which went twice as brilliantly for the table tennis club TTSV Anklam. The two talents Theo Jonas and Frieda Rogge wrote their very own success stories and impressed both athletically and mentally.

Theo Jonas experienced a real triumph. Not only did he win the bronze medal, but he also impressed with a record of seven wins and two defeats. The young athlete moved confidently into the final round and demonstrated remarkable nerves in crucial moments. Coach Gerald Breitschreiber praised Jonas's impressive development - both in terms of play and his mental strength. And the best part? Thanks to his performance, Theo also secured a place at the national championships in Anklam in mid-December. Previously, he had even played in two age groups above his actual age group and conquered everything that came his way - with a magnificent 6-0.

Comeback with flying colors

Frieda Rogge celebrated her comeback after more than two months in which she had to take a break due to injury. Despite only a few training sessions before the tournament, the athlete improved from game to game and achieved a great tenth place - only one set separated her from ninth place. Coach Tobias Wolff emphasized how important it was that Frieda was able to stabilize herself and find her way back into the game. His optimism that she will soon return to her full performance level is contagious. In the end, she was also able to secure a starting place at the state championships after she had already shone with a second place at the state ranking tournament.

While Jonas and Rogge were in the spotlight, the entire TTSV Anklam team was in a good mood. Cedric Harder reached the quarterfinals, and Kenny Haß, Vincent Lorenzen, Kuno Plamann, Jan Gottschalk and Richard Rittmeyer also showed great performances, even if they missed qualifying for the national championships. The positive atmosphere in the team and the progress of the players give hope for an exciting future.

The next challenge for Theo and Frieda will soon be waiting for them in Anklam in the state championships. The club is proud of its talents and is optimistic about the upcoming competitions. The stories of Theo and Frieda are the best proof that will and hard work are ultimately rewarded.
