Zemmin village and local festival: A day full of joy and tradition!

The village of Zemmin experienced a joyful celebration on June 16, 2025 when this year's village and local festival opened its doors. Numerous visitors flocked to enjoy the hustle and bustle in the festival tent and the diverse attractions. In the wonderful sunshine, the atmosphere was simply magnificent and straight to the point: people know how to party here!

The festival was organized by the Summyn 1990 local association, which was able to secure active support from many local helpers. Roland Kick, deputy chairman of the association, emphasized in his speech the comprehensive solidarity and cohesion among the local clubs. A festival full of fun and entertainment

Particularly popular was pony riding, which was very well received under the supervision of Steffi Lietzau and her helpers. The little guests beamed with joy as they rode the gentle animals through the festival area. Another highlight was the Demmin model sports club, which offered visitors the opportunity to race around the track in remote-controlled cars.

The culinary offerings were also impressive: While the guests enjoyed coffee and cake in the tent, women from the neighboring community of Bentzin contributed to the delicious selection. In addition to the sweet treats, the Jarmen Motoball team made sure that everyone had a good time by taking care of the food.

DJ Bernd from Loitz and Jan Tessin, the singing cowboy from Malchin, provided musical accompaniment. The entertainment program was rounded off by the performances of the “Zemminer Teichschlampen”, who ensured a good mood and lots of laughter in the festival tent during the post-program.

Looking forward to the next festival

The next village and local festival in Zemmin is already in the starting blocks and is planned for June 28th next year. The preparations for this will certainly take place again in good cooperation between the clubs. The community's initiative is strong in Zemmin - this is not only reflected in the organization of such festivals. In the last few months there have been numerous activities, such as the traditional “Italian Evening” or the Thanksgiving celebration in October, which have sustainably strengthened the village's identity.
