There were two serious traffic accidents in the Anklam area on Monday afternoon, which not only significantly hindered traffic on important roads, but also kept the emergency services on their toes. Loud Northern Courier The incidents led to hours of lockdown and intensive medical intervention.
The first accident occurred at 1:30 p.m. A driver lost control of his vehicle, hit a town entrance sign and a milestone and then overturned. The car landed on its roof and the driver had to be freed by first responders. He was taken to hospital in Anklam with injuries. The Postlow fire department, under the leadership of newly trained group leader Nick Waßmund, secured the scene of the accident for several hours while the car wreck was recovered.
Further accidents and consequences
The Anklam fire department was also alerted here to bind any escaping fuel. The material damage caused by this accident is estimated at around 35,000 euros. While the police investigated the accident, the B109 was temporarily closed, but was later opened to traffic.
