Overall, in the period from October 2024 to September 2025, there were proud results1064 young peoplelooking for a training position. This means that finding a suitable career is not always easy for many people. Nevertheless, the companies reported1151 vacant training positions, which means more opportunities than applicants. But not all places could be filled: on the deadlineSeptember 30thstayed193 training positions unfilled.
What particularly stands out are the industries that have difficulty finding apprentices. In the area of metal production and processing, for example, remained25 positions open, although only5 applicantspresent. The situation is the same in textile processing and construction and transport equipment management. The unfilled positions in this industry seem to be on display, while other areas such as agriculture, forestry or software development experience a different reality.

There is encouraging news for everyone who wants to go into sales: the most common training occupation remains salesman81 applicants. Careers such as office management clerks and medical assistants are particularly in demand among girls, while the majority of boys aspire to become automotive mechatronics engineers. And the increased support is also making things happen: more than ten young people have started an entry-level qualification - a paid long-term internship supported by the employment agency or job center.
Overall there are still81 young peoplelooking for a training position. However, some of them were able to be placed after the official start of training, which shows that there are definitely chances of making the leap into professional life.
