The new beach bar “36 Grad” recently opened its doors in Eldena, a picturesque district of Greifswald. Operator Volker Fritzsche, who has been ensuring the well-being of guests with a snack bar nearby since 2019, has fulfilled a long-held dream with this former mobile cocktail bar. The beach bar was set up at the end of May and, thanks to its mobility, is a flexible addition to the coastal region. As the Baltic Sea newspaper reports, a graffiti artist gave the beer cart a free, creative design that perfectly underlines the beach atmosphere.

The selection of cool drinks is tempting: from the sparkling Aperol spritz to long drinks for 6 to 6.50 euros to draft beer for 4 euros, there is something for every taste. Recommendations such as Aperol or Lillet, which are very popular with guests, are particularly popular. The soft drinks include everything your heart desires, with prices starting at 3 euros. The wine and sparkling wine prices are 5 euros. On warm days, more and more guests find their way to the beach bar, so the number of visitors depends heavily on the weather.

Comfort and entertainment

For the perfect beach day, guests also have access to four free beach chairs that invite them to linger. The beach bar is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., and on Saturdays from 2 p.m., weather permitting. However, in bad weather the bar may close earlier. The snack bar offers culinary delights until 6 p.m. with delicious classics such as currywurst, fries and ice cream.

Fritzsche has exciting plans for the future: barbecue evenings will take place on certain days of the week, and there will be live music on the weekends, where aspiring artists and music students can demonstrate their skills.
