Since June 28, 2025, the play “Freibeuter der Meere” has been delighting audiences on the picturesque natural stage in Ralswiek. The focus is on the young protagonist Moritz Stephan, who used emotional words to give an insight into his inner life. In his role as Klaus Störtebeker, he not only amazes the audience, but also captivates with his personal connection to the festival, which he has known since his childhood, as Uckermark Kurier reports.
Minor injuries that Moritz Stephan suffered this season are a bigger challenge. Despite his passion for the stage, one pain remains always present: the longing for his family. “The love for my partner and our child is indescribable,” emphasizes the talented actor, immediately banishing thoughts of physical pain. He is particularly looking forward to seeing his loved ones again when the performances are over.

A very special highlight of this season is the participation of Norbert Braun, who played the main role of Störtebeker 30 years ago and can now be seen in the role of Heinrich von Alkun.
