A19 drivers beware: Laage junction will soon be closed for two days!

Road users in northern Germany have to adapt to restrictions on two days. On Monday, June 16, 2025, the Laage junction on the A19 motorway in the direction of Rostock will be closed to all road users from 8 a.m. to probably 6 p.m. The reason for this full closure is necessary work on the asphalt surface of the motorway, which serves to improve road conditions and increase safety, such as Baltic Sea newspaper reported.

During this phase, motorists are asked to use the surrounding Glasewitz and Kavelstorf exits and entrances, as a diversion will be set up via neighboring junctions and the designated emergency diversions. The Laage junction will remain completely closed throughout the closure, however drivers from Rostock heading towards Berlin can still use the Laage junction. Traffic conditions are expected to be significantly affected, so timely planning and alternative routes are advisable.

Construction site management and safety

Construction sites like the one on the A19 not only cause inconvenience for road users, they also need to be taken into account for safety reasons. Construction sites are potentially dangerous places and various measures to minimize risks are therefore essential. This includes regular construction site monitoring to ensure compliance with safety precautions, occupational health and environmental regulations, and the use of personal protective equipment for workers. Click rent emphasizes that careful documentation of all construction processes and transparent communication are central to the success of the project.

Road users should also note that such measures help to ensure the quality of the work and ensure that everything runs smoothly. Good planning and clear guidelines are essential to guarantee the safety of both employees and passers-by.

The decision to close the Laage junction is also made in view of construction work that has already been carried out on the motorway bridge, during which diversions via the Glasewitz junction were also necessary. It remains to be seen how the construction site development will affect traffic and whether further restrictions will be necessary in the future. In any case, drivers should inform themselves in good time and plan alternative routes.
