Güstrow, Deutschland - It was a sunny and hot weekend when the C-youth of Laager SV 03 took part in the beach soccer tournament in Warnemünde. Organized in one of the most popular coastal cities in Germany, the event attracted numerous teams from different federal states such as Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Brandenburg, Berlin and Lower Saxony. The opening ceremony took place on Friday and the first games for the Laager team started on Saturday.

Although the team has had no experience in the beach soccer, the young players did their best and fought their way through their group games. The first game was against Rotation Leipzig and ended with a clear defeat of 0: 7. But the players held up their heads and finally fought their first point with a 2-2 draw against FC Schwülper 1.

Unfortunately, the next games against Fredersdorf (1: 3) and Chemie Leipzig 2 (3: 4) were also lost, with a controversial decision in the game against Fredersdorf causing some excitement. Despite these setbacks, the C youth showed an appealing performance and gained valuable experiences. On Sunday the team was only about playing out places 17 to 21.

The defense of the team, consisting of a stable goalkeeper and a solid defense, played a crucial role. The midfield was also aggressive and provided many well -played scores. One of the highlights was the clear cup victory against SV Steilkäste Rerik 15-0. The upcoming games against teams of the upper half of the table are planned for the end of October and early November, which of course further increases the expectations and anticipation in the team.
