Beach soccer in Warnemünde: Laager SV 03 fights bravely and learns!

It was a sunny and hot weekend when the Laager SV 03 C youth team took part in the beach soccer tournament in Warnemünde. Held in one of Germany's most popular coastal cities, the event attracted numerous teams from various federal states such as Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Brandenburg, Berlin and Lower Saxony. The opening ceremony took place on Friday and the first games for the Laager team started on Saturday.

Although the team had no previous experience in beach soccer, the young players gave their best and fought their way through their group games. The first game was against Rotation Leipzig and ended with a clear defeat of 0:7. But the players kept their heads high and finally won their first point with a 2-2 draw against FC Schwülper 1.

Unfortunately, the next games against Fredersdorf (1:3) and Chemie Leipzig 2 (3:4) were also lost, with a controversial decision in the game against Fredersdorf causing some excitement. Despite these setbacks, the C youth showed an appealing performance and gained valuable experience. On Sunday it was all about playing for places 17 to 21 for the team.

Strong in the league

The team's defense, consisting of a stable goalkeeper and a solid defense, played a crucial role. The midfield also showed itself to be attacking and created many well-created scoring chances. One of the highlights was the clear cup win against SV Steilküche Rerik with 15:0. The upcoming games against teams in the top half of the table are planned for the end of October and beginning of November, which of course further increases the team's expectations and anticipation.

The fascination of beach soccer

The size of the field is between 35-37 x 26-28 meters, and a game consists of three periods, each lasting twelve minutes. There is never a draw, which guarantees excitement until the last second.

As you can see, the young players of Laager SV 03 not only gained important experience despite their defeats in the tournament, but also showed great performances in the league. Your enthusiasm for the sport will certainly continue to generate a lot of excitement and, who knows, perhaps even further success in the future.
