MC Torros Güstrow celebrates an outstanding victory in the Speedway League North!

It's a great day for MC Torros Güstrow! Coach Ralf Peters can look forward to his team's clear victory in the North Speedway League. The Güstrow team won the race with 57 points and secured a comfortable lead of 21 points over second place, the Hornets Meißen, who had 36 points. The Speedway Team Emsland Dohren secured third place with 26 points, while the Teterower Hechtjungen took last place with 24 points. In this exciting competition, Güstrow won 16 of 24 races, making the team a clear favorite. Nordkurier reports.

Carlos Gennerich was the best driver of the day and had a total of 14 points, including four wins and a second place. Patrick Hyjek followed him with 13 points, while Tyler Haupt and Hannah Grunwald each scored 12 points. Looking back, the Hornets Meißen have to acknowledge that only Richard Geyer was able to provide emergency help with three wins, while the Teterower Hechtjungen achieved two wins through Danny Knackowski and Mika Frehse. In particular, the encounter between Mika Frehse and Carlos Gennerich in run 12 was an exciting battle in which Frehse had the upper hand. MC Güstrow's website highlights that the club finished the season in a solid second place in the league.

Season review and future hopes

The Güstrowers ended the season with a respectable second place in the overall ranking of the Northern League. Team boss Ralf Reters, who attended the final race day in Brokstedt, praised his team for their tireless efforts and thanked the supporters for their loyalty. In an optimistic outlook, Reters expressed the desire to expand support for the coming season and revealed the hope for new young drivers who could strengthen the team. This remains connected to the line-up of Team Bahnsport Germany for the World Cup and European Championship qualifications in 2025, where the Güstrowers are among the nominated drivers. Railway sports Germany informs about planned qualifications for the Speedway World Championship and the European Championship.

For all speedway fans, the next race is already scheduled for August 9th in Moorwinkelsdamm. The Teterowers, Wolfslake and Brokstedt will compete there, and the Güstrowers will do everything in their power to continue their course and fight for the lead in the table. The coming season promises to be exciting, and we can look forward to seeing which talents will develop in the youth sector, because there is great hope in the Güstrow camp for the promotion of future drivers.
