There are new developments in the mysterious case of eight-year-old Fabian from Güstrow that will hopefully help the investigators move forward. On October 10th, the day Fabian disappeared, his body was apparently not at the original crime scene. This finding raises many questions, particularly regarding the background to the crime. Police believe the body may have been set on fire to cover tracks. Investigators even found a charred glove, whose connection to the crime remains unclear. A spokesman for the public prosecutor's office remained tight-lipped about the available information about the murder weapon and did not reveal any details.
New witness, new clues
Fabian's mother's lawyer, Christina Habetha, brings a breath of fresh air into the investigation. She brought in a new witness who claims to have observed a suspicious vehicle. However, it remains to be seen whether and what exactly the witness saw, as she has not yet been interviewed. The police hope to get on the right track with this new information. The wanted orange Ford Ranger, which is associated with the suspicious woman, has now been seized. Investigators want to know whether witnesses saw the vehicle in Güstrow or the surrounding area on October 10th.
The suspect, who was arrested near Güstrow on November 6th, is apparently Fabian's father's ex-girlfriend. Meanwhile, there is no official confirmation of their identity from the Rostock public prosecutor or the suspects' defense attorney.
