The terrible news has triggered a wave of sadness. Hundreds of people came to a service in St. Mary's Church in Güstrow to commemorate Fabian's memory. During this operation, metal detectors were used to find any other relevant items. However, a public prosecutor, Harald Nowack, who is responsible for the case, warned against speculation about possible perpetrators and their security situation. “There is no danger to the public,” Nowack calmly told the media.
The discovery of the body was discovered by Fabian's father's ex-girlfriend, who came across it while walking in the woods. She was questioned several times by investigators, but is not suspected of any crime. Previously, the police surrendered after a large cordon and an intensive search in the city area.
