Airbeat One: What Became Your Lost Treasures!
The Airbeat One festival in Neustadt-Glewe, which took place from July 9th to 13th, was not only a celebration of music, but also a venue for one or two lost belongings. Every year, numerous festival-goers express their emotions, but some also get caught in a lurch and lose valuables in the process. What happens now to the lost treasures? Northern Courier asked around and gave interesting insights.
At the festival, a lost property office was set up at the info point, to the left of the entrance. Items found could be handed in there. The range of daily finds was quite colorful: from wallets to cell phones and ID cards. A curious find - although rather rare - was a wheelchair that was mentioned in the employees' notes. Given the sheer volume of people attending the festival, it's not surprising that the number of items dropped off fluctuated. Employees reported that many finds were quickly returned to their owners.
Collection and whereabouts of the items
Visitors lost their personal belongings throughout the festival grounds, including the campsite. Items that are not picked up by Sunday will go to the lost property office in Neustadt-Glewe. They will be kept there for a period of time determined by the lost and found office. According to German lost property law, the lost property office must keep lost items for at least four weeks and a maximum of six months. If the loser does not appear within six months, the finder has the right to the item found.
If someone is looking for a missing item, you can contact us by phone at 038757/5000 or by email at fundbuero@ludwigslust.de. Last year, a lot of lost property ended up in the office, including stacks of ID cards - a common scenario.
