Linden Festival 2025: Heat battle & family magic in Ludwigslust!

This year's Linden Festival in Ludwigslust took place on June 15, 2025 under the scorching summer sun. Despite the high temperatures, which at times caused problems for the visitors, the joy of the celebrations was unmistakable. The event, which began with an opening on Friday, attracted numerous families and friends to Schlossstrasse, where a colorful program awaited them. Mayor Stefan Pinnow and Vice Mayor Uwe Langmaack gave the event a celebratory setting with their opening speeches, and the Ludwigslust fanfare ensured that the mood immediately rose.

The Linden Festival was particularly diverse this year, as SVZ reports. There was a lot of hustle and bustle in front of the main stage, while a children's and family party was taking place at the same time. Visitors were able to buy tasty and beautiful things on the “Dealer & Gourmet Mile” on Schlossstrasse and on Alexandrinenplatz. In the evening the square filled up again, especially during the town hall party, which was a big highlight of the festival.

Family friendly activities

On Saturday, the second day of the festival, local clubs, schools and daycare centers took over the stage program on Lindenstrasse. An exciting children's discovery rally with 13 stations was also very popular. Another spectacle was the rubber duck campaign, in which 65 rubber ducks were released into the water. The fire department quickly darted through the water to bring the ducks safely back to land, and the children cheered enthusiastically.

The dance guards of the Techentiner Carneval Club in particular attracted attention on Sunday morning and contributed to the festive atmosphere. The Schlossgartenlauf, which also took place on Sunday, added a sporting highlight to the colorful hustle and bustle. During the entire event, no major incidents were reported by the police or the organizers, which only further increased the good mood of the visitors.

A successful celebration and a big thank you

On Sunday lunchtime, the Linden Festival ended with a cozy ending and moderate hustle and bustle. Christin Pingel from the city administration thanked everyone involved and the committed team at MC Ludwigslust. Admission to the festival was free, which made it easier to access and certainly encouraged many visitors to come.

On regional event calendars such as MV Calendar, the Linden Festival is often highlighted as a highlight of the year, and at [auf-nach-mv.de](https://www.auf-nach-mv.de/ Veranstaltungssuche/e-lindenfest-ludwigslust) you can always find up-to-date information about the festivities.
