On Tuesday morning at 11:11 a.m. the time had finally come: the fools of the Techentiner Carneval Club (TCC) stormed the town hall in Ludwigslust and officially rang in the fifth season. Mayor Stefan Pinnow ceremoniously handed over the business to the carnival participants, marking the start of the 69th season, which has the motto: “Whether young, old, big, small – it should be crazy at the TCC”.
President Sebastian Krumm was satisfied and informed the guests present about the ongoing preparations for the upcoming events. What is particularly pleasing for the members of the TCC is the return to the “Erwin Bernien” sports forum, where all activities will take place. In his speech, Mayor Pinnow highlighted the valuable cooperation with the local sports clubs, which made a compromise possible for the carnival events.
A ceremonial key crossing
A highlight of the ceremony was the symbolic handover of the keys, during which Pinnow not only handed over the city key, but also a donation for the association. “Something has to be done to stop the fools from taking over the city without restrictions,” joked the mayor, which lightened the mood among those present.
Advance ticket sales for the event series begin on November 26th. The first event of the new season, the Senior Carnival, will take place on February 7, 2026. A toilet trailer will be placed directly in front of the hall for participants of this event to meet all needs.

The TCC has planned a colorful series of events that will offer fools both fun and variety. Here is an overview of the dates:

- 8. Februar 2026 – Kinderkarneval (Eintritt für Kinder frei, Ticket erforderlich)
- 14. Februar 2026 – Galasitzung
- 15. Februar 2026 – Straßenkarneval in Dömitz
- 16. Februar 2026 – Rosenmontagssitzung
So the fun is guaranteed and the anticipation in Techentin is growing noticeably. It remains to be seen how the carnival season will be received by fools, both young and old, this time!
