This number is comfortably above the national average of 5.88 in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The survey, in which 69 residents of the city took part, shows that there are many aspects that are important to residents. A total of over 16,500 people in the region were surveyed, and satisfaction is already high in the region.
Stargard Castle, which extends in the Linde Valley southeast of Neubrandenburg, scores not only with its historic castle complex from the 13th century, but also with its pleasant living atmosphere. The categories family & children (7.54), cleanliness (7.48) and quality of life (7.31) were rated particularly positively, while transport connections were rated as more likely to be improved.

These include a halt to the expansion of planned wind turbines, more leisure opportunities for children and better bus connections to Neubrandenburg. The expansion of the cycle path network and the provision of public toilets in the market were also discussed.
Population structure and history
Among the 69 participants in the survey, there were 39 men and 30 women, belonging to different age groups. While 13 participants were under 40 years old, the age group between 40 and 59 years old was the largest group with 33 people. It should also not be neglected that more than two thirds of the survey participants are married. The city brings together an interesting history and a lively present, making it an attractive place to live.
With a strong local administration under Mayor Tilo Lorenz (CDU) and a committed city council that stands for election every year, Burg Stargard shows that it has a good hand for the challenges of the future. The renovation measures of the castle and the historic town center from 1991 have noticeably beautified the townscape and emphasized the charm of the place.
The results from the surveys on satisfaction with the living situation are part of a broad study that looked at Germans in general. The survey, which was commissioned by the Sparda banks, provides valuable insights into residential satisfaction. In this context, Stargard Castle certainly has its strengths, even if there are still some challenges ahead in order to further improve the quality of life.
