Dragon boat spectacle in the outdoor pool: 15 teams fight for victory!

On Saturday, June 28th, the 2nd dragon boat spectacle, which was eagerly awaited, took place in the Friedland outdoor pool. The event, which took place between bright sunshine and happy faces, recorded an increase in eleven to a total of fifteen. Regional companies, clubs and the Friedländer city administration had come together to paddle together and to fight for victory. The Nordkurier reports on a great atmosphere that was perfectly rounded through speeches and the musical start of a fanfare.

The exciting competition was organized in the dew principle, in which two teams paddled against each other. The best four teams of the day were: 1st place: "Wind strength 8" (energet), 2nd place: "Schneckenflitzer" (Schönhof Salow), 3rd place: "pond dragon" (reax transport) and 4. place: "Screen Supers" (Friedland city administration).

But the dragon boat spectacle was not the only attraction. An air mattress race took place on the edge, to which the outdoor pool visitors were also invited. The organizer of the event, Sabine von Ahsen, head of the TSV Friedland office, was pleased with the successful cooperation and the sense of community that prevailed in Friedland on this day.

The following day, June 29, there are other events on the program. At 3:00 p.m. the fundraiser "Classical in Dorfkirchen 2025" begins in the village church of Wichmannsdorf, where music and poetry invite you to smile and think. The proceeds are used, among other things, to promote musical work with children and adolescents. Admission is free, but visitors are cordially invited to donate.
