In the small community of Neverin near Neubrandenburg, there are signs of change. A new mayor will be elected on October 26, 2025. The outgoing mayor Nico Klose, who was recently elected mayor of Neubrandenburg, has resigned from office for this reason. However, to ensure a smooth transition, a new election had to be called quickly. Klose will officially step down from his position on November 12th reports NDR.

The first official candidate for the office is Karoline Koreng, who is running for the “Citizens for Neverin” voter group. The Neverin native is not only a health and nursing nurse in Neubrandenburg, but has also been involved in community politics. The youngest head of the state to date is Julian Klinkenberg from Garz on Rügen, who is 28 years old reports Nordkurier.
