VFC Anklam breaks their winless streak with a 4-3 triumph against Neubrandenburg!

Today, November 3rd, 2025, there was a special reason to be happy in Anklam: VFC Anklam has finally ended its winless streak. In the exciting duel against 1. FC Neubrandenburg II, the Anklam team were temporarily leading 3-0, but then had to react to a dramatic rebuke when their opponent equalized to make it 3-3 in the 65th and 73rd minutes. The spectators were on the edge of their seats until the end, but in the 89th minute Jan-Patrick Bruhns managed to score the decisive goal to make it 4-3.

The victory came at just the right time for the Anklam team after eight games without a three-point win. Captain Lukas Behm also celebrated his 23rd birthday that day and played a major role in his team's success. Player-coach Tom Fraus didn't give a damn about his team's efforts and praised their performance after the game. The fact that these celebrations take place on a momentous day couldn't be a better sign of the players' morale.

Fast turns and strong performances

The game started promisingly for VFC Anklam. Maximilian Paul scored the first goal in the 20th minute. In the second half, Tom Fraus went one better and increased the score to 3-0 in the 54th minute. But the joy didn't last long: a mishap by goalkeeper Max Lemke led to an equalizer when Neubrandenburg struck twice in a furious attack.

Despite this setback, Lemke showed strong nerves and saved everything with two saves to avert another setback and secure victory for his team. The team will soon be challenged again: next Saturday the home game against Grimmener SV is on the program, and the fans hope that VFC Anklam can build on this good performance.
