Schlosshotel Neustrelitz: Opening of the historic palace on June 29th!

Something is happening in Neustrelitz: On June 29, 2025, the newly restored castle hotel in the Grand Ducal Palace will open its doors to guests. The former residence of Grand Duke Adolf Friedrich VI. is now revitalized as a boutique hotel with 25 stylish rooms. The long history of the palace not only brings back memories, but also promises the most modern hospitality while maintaining the historical flair. Loud Northern Courier Restoration began in 2021 after the building was put out to public tender in 2020. Andreas Krumme was entrusted with the implementation of this ambitious project and pushed forward his plans with a trained team.

Future guests can look forward not only to an overnight stay starting at 140 euros in a single room, but also to a range of unique amenities. The hotel has an excellent restaurant called Strelitzia, a bar, a wellness area with a swimming pool and three saunas, and two event rooms that can accommodate up to 120 people. According to information on the hotel's website, the culinary offering is shaped by chef Torsten Räth, who transforms regional ingredients into fine, rural cuisine. In addition, the hotel is being expanded: 26 additional rooms and apartments are planned in the neighboring coach house by the end of 2025.

Elegance and history combined

The castle hotel is aimed at “cultivated slow-pacers and modern aristocrats,” as the reports say. The history of the house is reflected in restored stucco and floors, complemented by modern technology that will benefit guests. The interior design comes from Angela Rix, who has transformed historical elements into contemporary elegance. The hotel team, led by Manja Westermann, should also ensure discreet and pleasant hospitality.

If you look at the other boutique hotels in Germany, you can see that the trend towards stylish, unique accommodation is unbroken. According to an article on boutiquehotel.guru, a variety of boutique hotels in historic buildings have made a name for themselves. Nevertheless, the castle hotel in Neustrelitz will certainly hold a special place among these pearls. The perfect combination of history and modern comfort will be felt in every corner here.

The anticipation of the opening of the castle hotel is growing, and the first visitors can look forward to special check-in rituals, which are still being kept secret. This much is clear: the opening of the new hotel marks the beginning of a special chapter in Neustrelitz that will attract both locals and visitors. If you're looking for a mix of historical ambience and first-class hospitality, you'll soon find what you're looking for here.
