Theater course Off to the stage”: Creative summer holidays for young people!

Things get creative in Neustrelitz! The Neustrelitz children's and youth art school has launched an exciting theater course that offers young artists the opportunity to express their creativity and strengthen their self-confidence. Under the title “Off to the stage”, the course will open its gates to children and young people between the ages of 10 and 16 from October 20th to 24th.

The course is led by the experienced actor Felix Erdmann, who will introduce the participants to the basics of acting. The focus is on improvised scenes while the participants learn to develop their expressiveness and promote team spirit. A very special advantage: There is no pressure to perform, the small stage experiences are designed in a very relaxed setting.

A day full of creative impulses

The course days start at 9 a.m. and the first session takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. After a shared lunch, which can be in the form of a market visit or with your own food, the second workshop session continues at 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Registration is very easy via the website Kunsthaus Neustrelitz possible, whereby both individual days and the entire week can be booked.

But the focus isn't just on the theater course: as part of this year's Long Night of the Arts the Kunsthaus Neustrelitz is planning an enriching event. Despite contradictory voices and debates about funding, the board wants to offer the event a space again this year that has become an important part of Neustrelitz's identity. Mayors and numerous cultural actors support the implementation of the event, which is organized on a voluntary basis.

Support through modern youth art schools

In this context, the influence of youth art schools should not be underestimated. According to the Wikipedia-like portal bjke they are places that combine art, media, dance and theater in an exciting mix. Such institutions not only offer young people the opportunity for creative development, but also promote team spirit, critical thinking and self-efficacy. Every year, around 500,000 children and young people use the offerings in these meeting rooms.

The goal of youth art schools is to bring all the arts under one roof and create an accessible experimental space. The forward-looking goal of strengthening social cohesion and promoting design skills is particularly important today.

We look forward to a lively and creative time in Neustrelitz and invite everyone interested to take part in these exciting projects!
