The attractions will be open until 5pm, making for a lively afternoon. Reported on this Northern Courier.

Important political discussions

Another important event will take place on November 4th at 6:30 p.m. in Loitz: the meeting of the building committee. Among other things, the parking situation on Marktstrasse is discussed here. Residents and administration have discussed a lot in the past, and it is expected that this meeting could also receive some critical feedback. Details about the discussion and other topics can be found on the official Loitz website: Loitz news.

But it's not just the parking problem that's being discussed. A lot is also happening in the Ueckermünde region: renovation work on the south wing of Ueckermünde Castle will begin on November 3rd. Drivers must expect detours on Kastanienallee. Despite the renovation work, access to important facilities such as the Kita Stadtmitte remains guaranteed. The work has a budget of around 530,000 euros, with 62 percent covered by funding. Completion of the renovation is scheduled for the end of 2026.

Cultural highlights and conferences

A cultural highlight awaits visitors on November 8th with the performance of Mozart's Requiem in the St. Mary's Church in Anklam at 4:30 p.m. Around 90 musicians and singers, including the Anklam Kantorei and the Usedomer Kantatanchor, will perform under the direction of Holger Schmidt. The work is considered an important and well-known masterpiece that will captivate listeners.

An important date that is also intended to promote economic development in the region is the bioeconomy conference on November 6th in Anklam. Under the motto “Overcoming borders – shaping the bioeconomy,” more than 150 experts from research, industry and politics are gathering to discuss pressing issues and promote cross-border cooperation. For the first time, the German partners are supported by Polish representatives, thanks to the Interreg project “Pomerania BioBridge”.
