Looking into the future of football
However, the developments surrounding the D-Juniors are not only limited to this championship. From the 2025/26 season, a new game format called the twin game will be introduced. There are seven players per team in each league, which primarily promotes the flow of the game. According to bfv.de, this format will not only reduce the number of players on the field, but also make the stay on the field more effective overall. Teams can register for the twin game operation using a special registration form, with the teams' strengths being factored into the new game mode.
The current championship was an exciting experience for the D-Juniors and offered a great platform for the talents of tomorrow. With the Twins game approaching, it remains to be seen how this upheaval will impact the coming season. The challenge is there for the players and coaches and everyone knows: There is something to be done!
