60 years of trombone choir Neubukow: A musical anniversary celebrates!
Neubukow, Deutschland - A very special anniversary is celebrated in Neubukow, in the Rostock district: the local trombone choir can look back on a proud 60 years. The celebrations took place on Sunday afternoon and it was not saved to inspire musically. These events are considered the birth of the trombone choirs. The pietistic renewal movement at the time was an answer to the challenges of the official church and the Enlightenment and led to the fact that services were increasingly taking place outdoors under the use of mobile musical instruments. Brass instruments proved to be loud and festive, which quickly enjoyed great popularity and became an integral part of services. Despite the initial resistance of the classic church musicians, the trombone choirs finally received recognition by the official churches, which favored their development.
In a similar breath, the trombone choir also celebrated its 60th anniversary in the right-hand path. On a Saturday evening, a festival service took place in the Johanneskirche under the motto "Let the music sound in us". With around 50 brass, including 23 members of the choir, the event was a festival of the community and the musical heritage. Superintendent Christian Neumann emphasized the essential role of the trombone choirs, which he described as the "open-air organs of the community".
