The campaign is being carried out for the third time and is particularly notable for the increased booking numbers: the second edition was booked three times more often than the first! Nordkurier reports that A total of 20 hotels will take part, including popular hotels such as the Hotel Neptun, the Markgrafenheide beach resort and the Landhotel Rittmeister. New on board is the ScanHotels Stadthafen, which is expected to open in mid-January 2026.
The “Anchoring in your home port” campaign takes place from January 4th to March 27th, 2026. A particular advantage for the people of Rostock lies in the price offers. For just 39 euros per night, holidaymakers can stay in the “comfort” category, while the luxury category costs 85 euros per night. Bookings are available both on site and online from October 31, 2025, and there is a two-night minimum stay for arrivals on Friday and Saturday.

The promotion doesn't just offer cheap overnight stays. Participants can also benefit from further savings. Locals receive a 50% discount on entry to the shipping museum. There are also special offers at Scandlines and in the participating hotels. Another plus: The new cancellation conditions allow free cancellation up to seven days before arrival.
