data protection for volunteers

The responsible body uses the MV service platform as part of the E-Government Act of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania to secure the data safely. Personal data is only processed on the legal bases mentioned, and these are deleted after the statutory retention periods.
In order to facilitate volunteers, the development of clear data protection guidelines within the organizations is essential. These guidelines should be accessible to everyone involved, including external volunteers. The regular review and update of these guidelines ensure that all legal requirements are observed. Particular attention should also be paid to the use of private end devices, since many volunteers use their own devices, for example when processing participation lists.
The volunteer card not only entails the appreciation of commitment, but also ensures that the volunteers in Rostock are well protected. Such a combination of recognition and protection helps to ensure that many other people are involved in the community and show a good knack for local problems and challenges.
