Fantastic Four: Music for Diversity and Democracy in the IGA Park!
In a gripping meeting in the IGA-Park Rostock, many people came together on July 13, 2025 to not only make music at a concert of the legendary hip-hop band "The Fantastic Vier", but also a strong social sign. As part of the event, the association "According to against Nazis" , which with the slogan "We harvest what we sow" on T-shirts and referred to the importance of diversity and democracy.
The association, founded by Jörn Müben, has been committed to a cosmopolitan society for years together with the musicians. Activist Thomas Kruse-Strack, who also belongs to the "Südheidbundt" initiative, explained the motives behind this partnership and the importance of engagement during the current tour of Germany.
a strong alliance for diversity
The collaboration between "according to Nazis" and the "Südheidbundt" initiative is becoming increasingly narrower. This initiative mobilized over 2000 people a year and a half ago for a protest against the AfD state party conference in its Lower Saxony village. Since then she has collected together with the association Rock against right beaker pate to support projects to promote democratic values.
The goals of the initiative are clear: promote tolerance and diversity, especially among young people to protect democracy. It is also pointed out that words can have real consequences, and especially in times of right back, a factual discussion at eye level is essential. Kruse-Track criticized populist dialogues that often have a split and harm society.
against racism and for democracy
The importance of such engagements is underlined by the current situation in Germany. Initiatives against racism are indispensable, especially in the light of events such as the right -wing extremist attack in Hanau, in which ten people lost their lives. The Federal Government responded to this and took a variety of measures to counter discrimination and xenophobia. The national action plan against racism not only searches for solutions for current problems, but also ensures that the protection of all human dignity has a top priority.
Chancellor Angela Merkel criticized the increase in racist violence and emphasized the need to strengthen social cohesion. This also included the development of programs that promote democracy and tolerance and support discriminated people. Also the Action Plan of the federal government, which has initiated projects to strengthen democracy since 2015, illustrates how central this commitment to racism is.
So it is hoped that concerts like the IGA Park not only entertain, but also serve as a platform to bring up important topics and to promote dialogue in society. A conversation about love and tolerance is more important today than ever and must not be pushed into the background.
