Change at the top: New management for Rostock's women's clinic started!
A new phase for the University Women's Clinic and Polyclinic at the Südstadt Rostock Clinic has begun. After 20 years in a responsible position, Prof. Dr. Bernd Gerber handed over the management. From now on, the clinic will be managed by a provisional dual leadership: Prof. Dr. Toralf Reimer and Prof. Dr. Johannes Stubert takes over the business. This reorganization brings a breath of fresh air to the largest women's clinic in the country.
The two new leaders bring different areas of focus. Prof. Dr. Reimer is responsible for the field of gynecology as well as research and teaching. His colleague, Prof. Dr. Stubert, takes over the management of obstetrics, also research and teaching, and leads the development of the new parent-child center. The provisional management is supported by Dr. Steffi Hartmann, who, as senior physician, is responsible for surgical coordination and responsibility for the breast center. This transition structure will remain in place until a new academic and chief medical management is identified.
A worthy successor on the way
The process for finding a successor for Prof. Dr. Gerber is already underway. Meanwhile, Gerber will remain at the clinic as a senior professor. Among other things, he will be involved in teaching, further medical training and the organization of surgeries. Prof. Dr. In his speech, Jan P.
