Two drunk men break into a Rostock workshop!

On the night of August 14, 2025, an incident occurred in the Brinckmansdorf district of Rostock that once again shows that not everyone just wants to sleep at night. At about 3 a.m., an alert witness heard a loud bang and noticed beams of flashlight light. That was the end of the horror at the workshop - two men, 17 and 19 years old, obviously wanted to cause mischief there.

Burglary often means unauthorized entry into a restricted area - in this case the vehicle workshop. In German law, burglaries are linked to various offenses, such as theft and trespassing, reports Wikipedia. In this particular case, the incident caused an estimated property damage of around 200 euros, which could be seen as minor considering what happened, but is still annoying.

Further abnormalities and arrest

However, the shock for the workshop owners was not over. The two suspects, who were anything but inconspicuous, came to the attention of the police again around 4:30 a.m. This time they caused a stir at Petri Dam with loud noise and aggressive behavior. In another unfortunate moment, they even tried to attack the officers. This shows once again that intoxicated minds often tend to make rash decisions.

The police acted quickly and took both men into custody to sober them up. Alcohol was probably their loyal companion that night, which is not uncommon in such incidents. As the investigation showed, the two young people acted without any consideration for the consequences of their actions.

Context and preventive measures

Burglaries are always a vexing issue – not only for the businesses affected, but also for society as a whole. The most common targets are often commercially used premises, as this is where particularly lucrative loot is suspected. To prevent such incidents, companies often rely on security measures, from fencing to night guards. Modern technologies such as burglar alarm systems and smart home systems are also becoming increasingly important.

With a clearance rate of only 15.5% in Germany recorded in recent years, the fight against burglaries remains a challenge for the police. Only a small proportion of these cases result in charges and convictions only occur in around three percent of cases, which underlines the importance of preventive measures.

No matter how you twist it, the events in Brinckmansdorf remind us that burglaries are not just crime, but above all a social problem that must be addressed together.
