Since the end of August, film crews and actors have been bustling about in the picturesque settings of the island of Rügen. Filming for three new episodes of the popular ARD series “Praxis mit Meerblick” is in full swing and is expected to last until the end of November. Where exactly is filming happening here? The filming locations are Sassnitz, the impressive Cape Arkona and Göhren, which provide the backdrop for the exciting stories about the island doctor Nora Kaminski (Tanja Wedhorn). As the Baltic Sea newspaper reported, the working titles of the new episodes have been determined: “Let’s Cast Off,” “Out of the Blue” and “Hit into Happiness.”
What are the central themes of these new episodes? Viewers can look forward to medical mysteries as Nora Kaminski deals with personal and professional challenges. The story about her son Kai (Lukas Zumbrock), who is fighting his drug addiction in an addiction clinic, is particularly exciting. Curious? In the first episode, the audience is introduced to the first neurological symptoms of Kai's sports coach Julia Fechner (Lena Schmidtke), which should provide enough suspense. Another filming location was the “Klinik am Südstrand” in Göhren. In the film, this was relocated to the northern beach, which relaxed the production conditions. Lukas Zumbrock, who plays Kai in the series, also has football experience, having played in the U-17 Bundesliga for VfL Oldenburg. As it turns out, a former basketball court was even used for filming, giving the script an extra twist. So that the actors can exploit the full potential of their roles, they interact with rehabilitation patients and onlookers during filming breaks - a lively exchange that loosens up the atmosphere.

The first part was already eagerly awaited and premiered on September 14, 2025 at 3:30 p.m. on Erste, in which viewers were treated to insights into Nora's eventful life and her challenges in the doctor's office.
