An exciting weekend for sports acrobatics in Germany: The German determination of the best in sports acrobatics took place on November 3rd, 2025 in the Palmberg Arena in Schwerin. Over 300 talented athletes from 42 clubs gave their best and competed in exciting competitions. In competition class 1.1, for the years 2012 to 2019, the VfL Schwerin trio, consisting of Fritzi Diestel, Elise Schröder and Malika Bekirova, won the gold medal. In doing so, they impressively demonstrated their skills, which not only include technique and expression, but also require a high degree of teamwork. There was also a success for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in competition class 1.2, which covers the years 2009 to 2019: The mixed pair Mila Ciupka and Michel Mulert from SV Warnemünde won the silver award. In competition class 2, the trio from SV Warnemünde, consisting of Emma Kollek, Fiene Krohn and Cecilia Pingel, achieved third place and thus secured the bronze medal.

Versatile sport with many facets

Sports acrobatics are much more than just a competition. The discipline requires high coordination and fitness skills and combines elements of floor exercise, dance and acrobatics. Whether in pair discipline or in groups of three – teamwork is at the heart of this sport. The entire exercise is presented to music and shows not only individual acrobatic skills, but also the harmony and synchrony between the athletes. This made the spectators in the Palmberg Arena excited and showed the beauty and complexity of this sport.

The outstanding achievements of the athletes from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania highlight the region as a hotspot for sporting talent. In total, the clubs from MV achieved four more placements in the top ten, which impressively underlines the commitment of the athletes and coaches. In addition to technology, the evaluation criteria also include choreography, music and, above all, synchronicity, which are very appealing to the audience.
