The fans of “The Mountain Rescuers” can rejoice! The popular series will air its 17th season on October 30, 2025 and, as usual, promises gripping stories from the everyday life of an Alpine rescue team in Ramsau am Dachstein. Since 2009, the ZDF series has thrilled viewers with a mixture of dramatic rescue missions and profound personal fates that take place in the picturesque Alpine panorama. The new season includes seven episodes, two of which were already produced in 2024, and will therefore promise the usual excitement. Will there be turbulent operations again this time? We can be excited!
Especially in season 16, numerous dramatic twists caused excitement: paragliding accidents, avalanches and the crashed cash-in-transit truck kept viewers in suspense. Illustrious events, such as Frederik Falkner's fatal fall and Markus' love confession, which was rejected by Alex, already set a high emotional standard for the coming episodes. The characters now also need new stories, and two popular characters are returning: Mia Steiner, played by Lisa Junick, and Leon Dörfler, whose role is taken on by Marinus Hohmann.
