MTV Aurich shines: Bolten and Brinkmann reach championship finals!

Sport is an exciting chapter in our lives, and the German U18 Age Court in Bochum Wattenscheid have shown once again what young talents can do. Amke Bolten and Hannes Brinkmann from MTV Aurich were two of these promising athletes who were allowed to prove themselves on the big stage. Both showed impressive achievements and reached the finals in their disciplines, which makes them real hopefuls of athletics.

Amke Bolten competed over 400 meters and already shone in their lead. With a personal best of 57.26 seconds, she ran second through the finish line and thus secured the place in the final. Also in the finals, she did not subside and took seventh place with a time of 57.47 seconds. The gold medal secured Cäcilia Weimann from SC Potsdam with a remarkable time of 54.78 seconds.

Brinkmann's three -jump

But not only the sprint disciplines were required. Hannes Brinkmann made a name for himself in the triple jump, where he reached sixth place with 13.94 meters. After a solid third attempt, he managed to qualify for the final fight. Its best performance is 14.15 meters, and the competition was strong, as the placements showed: Justin Hopfensitz took third place with 14.31 meters, followed by Tarek Benze (14.37 meters) and Joel Yamah, who was also among the medal with 14.60 meters. In addition, Brinkmann also qualified for the 110 meter hurdles, but had to give up at the fifth hurdle in the preliminary run.

trainers and club representatives were pleased with the athletes' performance. It can be clearly felt that MTV Aurich has years of careful training. A look at the results gives hope that these talents will achieve much more in the future.
