Norddeicher Meile: Experience handicrafts and enjoyment on the coast!
The Norddeicher Meile has opened its doors and is delighting visitors at the Ocean Wave swimming pool with a colorful market. From today until June 22, 2025, an artisan and farmers market will be held here daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The diverse selection ranges from handmade basketry and woodwork to maritime memorabilia and regional specialties such as liqueurs, cheese and spices. The gastronomic offering also leaves nothing to be desired and offers both sweet and savory dishes. Attractions such as a carousel are available for younger guests, while live organ music provides the musical accompaniment on Fridays. On Saturday at 2 p.m., visitors can enjoy the performance of the Norddeich Shanty Choir, which will perform together with the Shanty Choir from Much.
In order to enable visitors to stroll comfortably, Dörper Weg was closed to traffic. You shouldn't miss a tour of the lovingly designed stands!
Family-friendly events in Norddeich
In the coming weeks the program in Norddeich will be no less exciting. The open-air cinema by the sea will take place on the Drachenwiese from July 21st to 24th. Entertaining films such as “Minecraft”, “Lilo & Stitch”, “Jurassic World – Rebirth” and “How to Train Your Dragon” are planned. The film screenings begin at 10 p.m., with a family program starting beforehand. During the day, little visitors can look forward to clownish entertainment, juggling, magic, puppet theater and a children's disco. In the evening, live music creates a nice atmosphere and guests can look forward to current films on an 8x12 meter screen.
The gastronomic offerings during the open-air cinema are also impressive - everything from savory dishes to sweets and a wide selection of drinks is on offer. Medieval atmosphere and more
From July 31st to August 3rd, the Viking festival at the West Harbor will offer exciting insights into the life of the Norsemen. There will be fighting demonstrations, crafts and a unique medieval atmosphere. In terms of cuisine, there will be mead, honey beer and special medieval dishes to discover, while children can try out their skills with various games and crafts.
Another highlight is the historical traveling cinema, which takes viewers on a journey through time between 1903 and 1930. Here, visitors can look forward to nostalgic films, accompanied by snacks and drinks. Picnicking is expressly permitted and plenty of seating is provided.
