The wait is over! On Friday, September 19th and Saturday, September 20th, 2025, the popular Celle city festival will open its doors again and invite you to a colorful spectacle in the city center. Under the motto “Celle celebrates – free and outdoors” we are expecting up to 15,000 enthusiastic visitors who don’t want to miss out on enjoying a diverse program with free admission. A special highlight is the performance of the Swedish Mardi Gras band “Louisiana Avenue”, which will delight visitors with their New Orleans sound on the castle stage on Saturday evening. But that's not all! Different styles of music are performed on three stages: from big band sound, rock and blues to DJ sets in a wide variety of styles. The stage at the market is livened up by DJs, while the Stechbahn stage offers rocking sounds.
A diverse program
The stage in the historic old town also has programs for the youngest. The “Circus Blast Bag” ensures happy faces among the little festival visitors. In addition, further musical highlights will be set by the performance of “Black Market III”, which will bring blues rock to life, and by Martin Connell with “The True Dramatics”, which will heat up the festive atmosphere.
Preparations for the city festival are in full swing. The “Celler Stadtfest” association, led by Bernd Wengeler, has already received around 80 band applications and is open to further new registrations. Bands, individual musicians and choirs from the region can apply at celler-stadtfest.de. Volunteers on duty
Over 300 volunteers will ensure that everything runs smoothly, be it in stage construction, security or in the catering area. This support is essential for the city festival to take place and shows how strong the sense of community is in Celle. The city festival is not only a celebration of culture, but also of togetherness in the city.
