Children's fire brigades in the Celle district: enthusiastic about playing without limits!
Last Saturday, June 14, 2025, the children's fire brigade's exciting “Game without Borders” event took place in Jarnsen, in the beautiful Celle district. In bright sunshine and participants in good spirits, 31 groups, each consisting of 5 or 6 children, competed to demonstrate their skills in various disciplines. The event was organized by Andrea Suhr, head of the children's fire brigade department, and was a real culmination point for the young fire brigade talents from the region. Celler Presse reports that A total of 12 stations were set up where the children could demonstrate firefighting techniques as well as skills and general knowledge.
The exciting tasks included, for example, balancing a ball on a stretcher through a course and pantomiming fire apparatus. Recognizing and assigning traffic signs and mastering the stable side position while sleeping were also on the program. Leisure activities such as creating buttons, visiting the playground and using a water hose provided additional fun. The end of the event was very emotional with the awards ceremony at around 2 p.m., as every child received a medal and the best three teams were awarded trophies.
