Weser courier reports that the event was repeated the following evening in the All Saints Church, which underlines the great response and popularity of this event.
Up to and including 2025, the Quempas singing took place at different locations in Delmenhorst. From 2026, the Luther Church will be the only venue as the All Saints Church will be closed. The opening number “Adeste fidelis” by John Wade was performed by the talented Sabine Wottke-Pries. The listeners were offered a colorful program with performances by various choirs, including the new youth choir “Feed The Birds”, whose name is derived from a song from the musical “Mary Poppins”. This premiere was eagerly awaited by many, and the young singers impressed with pieces such as “In The Bleak Midwinter” by Gustav Holst and the cheerful “Ding Dong Merrily On High”.
The singing circle, under the direction of Florian Schrenker, performed the beautiful song “Over The Rainbow” with a touching solo by Jolina Dürremann. The women's choir Dreiklang also performed “Dezemberträume” by Rolf Zuckowski. The flute duo, consisting of Jette Herchenröder and Julia Prange, also provided special musical accents, shining with a duet from Mozart's “The Marriage of Figaro”. The crowning finale was the organ, which led the audience into applause with “Let’s Dance” by Michael Schütz.
