The time has finally come: the football summer is getting going! On Sunday, August 10th, SV Atlas Delmenhorst starts again in the Lower Saxony Oberliga. The league opener is tough: on August 10th we face VfV 06 Borussia Hildesheim, a duel that is already on the program in the Lower Saxony Cup on August 3rd at 3 p.m. A week later the DFB Cup will be celebrated. Here Delmenhorst will face Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Marschwegstadion on August 17th. A clear advantage for the club is that advance sales for this prestigious duel are scheduled to begin on July 17th.
Season highlights and away games
The successors in the promotion were able to celebrate success: The Schöningen Football Sports Association initially secured promotion to the regional league with their 4-0 victory over SV Hemelingen. This makes the team loud DK Online became the first promoted team to the fourth highest league. Stupid timing for SV Atlas, who were only one point short of taking part in the promotion round. New general conditions apply for the coming season: The Lower Saxony Oberliga will play with 16 instead of 18 teams for the first time.

The first meetings and home games
The first home game will be played on August 27th against Heeslinger SC. Just three days later, the players are waiting for MTV Wolfenbüttel, another piece of the puzzle as the season progresses. The last game of the 2025/26 season has already crept into fans' notepads, as SV Wilhelmshaven will be welcomed to the Jade Stadium on matchday 30.
The new challenges bring a breath of fresh air: The successes of the promoted teams MTV Wolfenbüttel, Lüneburger SK and TSV Wetschen have dominated their national leagues with flying colors. This will also be a challenge for SV Atlas to consolidate its position in the top league.
