In the Meinersen community there is now real progress for couples who have just fallen in love: from November 4, 2025, they can reserve their desired date for the wedding digitally. This is made possible by the newly introduced digital wedding and appointment calendar, which the joint community has under traukalender.sg-meinersen.de provides. Such a service offers the opportunity to search for available wedding dates and locations around the clock.
The new wedding calendar not only shows the available dates, but also pictures and short descriptions of the wedding locations. Important information, such as the maximum number of places, is also included. This gives couples all the information they need at a glance to plan their wedding. And the best thing about it: reservations are made in real time and are free of charge.
Procedure for marriage
After reserving the desired date, the future bride and groom receive a confirmation, which is important for further planning of the wedding. However, it remains important to know that the necessary documents are still checked by the Meinersen registry office. The marriage must take place within six months of notification from the registry office, otherwise a new registration is necessary.
Registration for marriage can be done no earlier than six months before the desired date. It is also possible to make an appointment for the wedding early, so that even spontaneous wedding planners can be happy. A personal meeting with the registrar is necessary to clarify any open questions.
Attractive wedding locations and dates
The Meinersen community offers various locations for weddings. Particularly noteworthy is the barrier-free wedding room in the town hall, which can accommodate around 14 people. This historic setting can accommodate up to 30 people and also has a large garden that is ideal for wedding photos and post-wedding celebrations.
Additional wedding dates have already been set for Saturdays in 2025. These include January 18th, February 1st and other dates up to December 13th. Changes in availability cannot be ruled out, which is why a direct inquiry to the registry office is recommended.
