From July 21, 2025, the roundabout in Calberlah will become the construction site. The road construction work for the asphalt cover renovation is necessary to ensure traffic safety and let the road shine in new splendor. For the duration of the work, which is expected to take until August 5, 2025, a full closure of the roundabout area can be expected. The access to the net market then takes place exclusively via the Sachsenweg, Schusterkamp and Windmühlenweg. In addition, a bollard is removed in the Sachsenweg to enable the passage, while residents of the municipal roads have to accept mountain pieces, forest land ring, Windmühlenweg and Schusterkamp.
Important diversions at a glance
The construction work brings with it some diversions that are relevant for road users. Here is an overview:
- from Calberlah to Edesbüttel: via L292 Allbüttel to L321 via Kettershagen, Allenbüttel to K69.
- from Calberlah to Wasbüttel: via L292 to Isenbüttel, then K67 to Wasbüttel.
- from Edesbüttel to Wasbüttel: via L321 Wedelheine, K64, via anyhorst to Wasbüttel.
In addition, a change will also be necessary for the next weekly highlight, kindergarten in the Christ Children's Day. At the roundabout, this is not available from July 21 to 27; From July 28th, however, the facility can then be approached via Mecklenburger Strasse.

City of Gifhorn has also made it clear that there will be no complete blocking of the entire hub during the summer vacation.
