Bovender SV fights bravely in the friendly against VfV Hildesheim!

Bovender SV played an exciting friendly against VfV Hildesheim last Saturday, which was their second against a top division team in two weeks. Coach Yannick Broscheit was visibly satisfied with his team's development despite the final score of 1:3. While the team had difficulties in the first half, the revival and fighting spirit became visible in the second half.

Hildesheim took the lead in the 20th minute through Karsan Doski. Despite intensive efforts, Bovenden was unable to score before the break. After the break, Jan-Niklas Blum came into the game and took over the goalkeeper position. In the 73rd minute, Hildesheim increased to 2-0 through Mick Peter Gudra, but the Bovenders were not deterred. Dennis Falinski reduced the score to 1:2 just a minute later. Shortly before the final whistle, Fred McMensah Quarshie made the final score 3-1.

Performance increase visible

Broscheit highlighted the positive development compared to the previous test, which sounds particularly promising after the 4-0 defeat against Eintracht Northeim. The coach is optimistic that the team can continue to improve until the start of the season.

The team will be challenged again next week when they test against FSV Wolfhagen on July 20th and Lichtenauer FV on July 26th. A week later, the first competitive game in the district cup is against SG Werratal. Bovenden will kick off the new state league season on August 9th against SVG Göttingen.

New additions for the season

Bovender SV has positioned itself well for the new season and has signed five new players. The quintet includes:

The new team was presented to the public on July 3rd and will face other regional league teams in test matches in order to optimally prepare for the challenges of the coming season. This development phase is crucial as many teams from the regional league group 1 are also in training and in test matches.

Like Goettinger Tageblatt and HNA report, preparations for the new season are already in full swing. The teams are diverse and hope to start the coming season with fresh talent. The FuPa also gave an overview of the test games and the coaching strategies. Bovenden will definitely have an exciting year ahead!
