Drug trade at the playground: Police strike in Northeim!
in Northeim, there was a tangible incident on a playground at Vogts pond on Monday, July 14, 2025. A 21-year-old man had reported to the police that cannabis was offered for him. The officers quickly set off and met the alleged drug dealer on site, a 30-year-old man. In his pocket, the police found several plastic bags with cannabis, which was then confiscated. A procedure for unauthorized trade in narcotics was initiated against the 30-year-old, as well as Göttinger Tageblatt reported.
But that's not all: another man, 41 years old, was also found on the playground. He had prepared a joint and just smoked it. A procedure was also initiated against him, but not because of drug trade, but because he violated the Consumer Cannabis Act (Kcang). This controversial incident also shows that the topic of drugs is also highly topical in our region.
