Drug trafficking at the playground: Police strike in Northeim!
In Northeim, on Monday, July 14, 2025, a serious incident occurred in a playground at Vogts Teich. A 21-year-old man reported to the police that he was offered cannabis for sale there. The officers quickly set off and met the suspected drug dealer, a 30-year-old man, on site. The police found several plastic bags containing cannabis in his bag, which were then confiscated. Proceedings were initiated against the 30-year-old for illegal trafficking in narcotics, as Göttinger Tageblatt reported.
But that's not all: another man, 41 years old, was also found on the playground. He had prepared a joint and was smoking it. Proceedings were also initiated against him, although not for drug trafficking, but because he violated the Consumer Cannabis Act (KCanG). This controversial incident shows once again that the topic of drugs is also very topical in our region.
