Einbeck LAGER CUP: Top soccer teams fight for victory in July!
FC Grone has big plans: From July 5th to 13th, 2025, the pre-season tournament for the “Einbecker LAGER CUP” will take place on the “Am Rehbach” sports field. The organizers invite numerous teams to demonstrate their skills. A total of 6 teams will compete for the coveted title in two groups, including both newcomers and experienced clubs.
The following teams await football fans in the “Bäckerei Hermann Group”: 1. SC 1911 Heiligenstadt, a promoted team in the Oberliga, SG Hettensen/Ellierode, which has recently been relegated from the district league, and FC Gleichen. The state league team 1. SC Göttingen 05, the up-and-coming SG Lenglern and the hosts FC Grone compete in the “Sparkasse Göttingen Group”. Each team plays in its group “everyone against everyone” with a game format of twice 30 minutes per game, while the placement games are played in normal playing time of two times 45 minutes.
Game plan and organization
There are already exciting matches on the first day of the tournament, July 5th:
- 16:00 Uhr: 1. SC 1911 Heiligenstadt – FC Hettensen/Ellierode
- 17:30 Uhr: FC Gleichen – 1. SC 1911 Heiligenstadt
- 19:00 Uhr: FC Hettensen/Ellierode – FC Gleichen
Further encounters are scheduled for July 6th:
- 16:00 Uhr: 1. SC Göttingen 05 – FC Grone
- 17:30 Uhr: SG Lenglern – 1. SC Göttingen 05
- 19:00 Uhr: FC Grone – SG Lenglern
The placement games are scheduled for July 11th and 12th, as well as the final day on July 13th. It is noteworthy that 1. SC Göttingen 05 and 1. SC 1911 Heiligenstadt already have other commitments on July 13th, which is why their placement games will be brought forward.
More exciting events at Rehbach
The anticipation for football in Grone is great, and not just because of the LAGER CUPS. The DiT Cup for teams over 32 will take place at Groner Rehbach on June 22, 2025, starting at 10:00 a.m. Here teams like RW Braunschweig, SCW Göttingen and the hosts FC Grone compete in two groups with five teams each. The final is scheduled to take place around 2:30 p.m.
Just one day later, on June 23rd, JFV West Göttingen will host a U19 anniversary tournament. Numerous young teams compete to determine the best kicker among them. The tournament also starts at 10:00 a.m. and the final is expected at 2:45 p.m.
Preparation for the new season
The summer holidays are just around the corner and amateur footballers, both senior and junior, are already starting to prepare for the new season. A 5-week training program is currently being offered in cooperation with the DFB coaching magazine fussballtraining. This program focuses on fitness aspects, technical-tactical content and important game strategies and is valuable support for teams who want to prepare for the challenges ahead. Content for each training day is available to download and helps to get the teams fit for the new season.
