On the same afternoon, another tragic accident occurred on State Road 66 near Quedlinburg, where a 60-year-old driver from the region was also critically injured. He attempted to overtake in a right-hand bend and collided with an oncoming vehicle driven by a 47-year-old woman. The force of the impact was so enormous that the man's car rolled over several times and he died at the scene of the accident.
