Aerzen is planning an exciting climbing wall in the outdoor pool – increasing its attractiveness!

Exciting developments are coming up in Aerzen: The community is planning to spruce up the outdoor pool with an innovative climbing wall. This project, which is supported by the EU funding program to strengthen rural areas, was approved by the local working group of the Leader Region Western Weserbergland, as the Dewezet reported. Mayor Andreas Wittrock is convinced that the climbing wall will significantly increase the attractiveness of the outdoor pool and help increase demand for swimming courses.

The climbing wall is intended to provide a special leisure activity for visitors and is expected to cost 160,650 euros, of which 87,750 euros were applied for from EU funding. The preparatory work could begin as early as winter, of course depending on political approval. This initiative is part of a more extensive plan that includes a total of around 2.1 million euros for various measures over the funding period from 2023 to 2027.
