Northeimer HC triumphs in Hameln: Wróbel shines with 8 goals!
An exciting duel in the handball regional league was played on Saturday evening in Hameln, which offered a lot of action for the spectators in the well-filled hall. The Northeimer HC won against VfL Hameln with a clear 34:29. The outstanding player was once again Mateusz Wróbel, whose precise play and decisive goals led the team to victory. Even though Hameln appeared combative, the team could not withstand the powerful game of the NHC.
Moritz Beltzer and Marc Bode opened the game brilliantly with a 2-0. The guests from Northeim were undeterred and extended their lead through Wróbel, who scored eight goals in the first half. The home team, which needed an improvement after a poor performance the previous week, got back to three goals thanks to Kári Tómas Hauksson, who scored twelve goals, but the NHC were always on top of the action in the first half.
Development of the game
The start of the second half was anything but easy for the NHC as they had to overcome a double minority. But Tan Kang scored an important goal to make it 18:15, which got the team back on track. From the 40th minute onwards, the NHC was able to pull away decisively and finally break the hosts' comeback. Marc Bode made it 25:20 and 28:22 with his goals. In the final minutes the game went like clockwork for Northeim, while players like Luca Burandt, Niels Juhle and Serxho Ramazani safely brought home the points.
The NHC coach, Jürgen Bätjer, not only praised his team for their clever style of play, but also the solutions in attack, which were crucial for the victory. Assistant coach Tim Gerstmann noted the clever moves that proved their worth throughout the game. The NHC had ideally prepared for the encounter after starting the year with a 32:27 win against HSG Schaumburg at the beginning of the new year.
Looking ahead to the challenge ahead
The next big test for Northeimer HC is the next game against MTV Vorsfelde, the first leg was lost 35:33. Coach Bätjer will do everything in his power to carry the positive energy from the away win into the coming week in order to prepare for the next opponent. The team is currently third in the table and is looking forward optimistically.
For VfL Hameln there was a lot of need for discussion after another defeat. Coach Marc Siegesmund was self-critical about his team's situation and hopes for quick improvement so that they can present themselves better in the next game. The next challenge will be a great motivation to learn from the mistakes and show the fans a different face.
Overall, it was a colorful evening full of emotions and exciting handball action, which thrilled the spectators and cheered the teams on for the next round.
